Survey Configuration
Set up surveys and feedback forms for courses
Overview
Post-training surveys help you:
- Gather feedback on training quality
- Measure learner satisfaction
- Identify areas for improvement
- Track trainer effectiveness
- Demonstrate training value to stakeholders
Accessing Survey Settings
- Log in as an Admin
- Go to Admin → Settings
- Click on the Surveys tab
Configuring Surveys
Enable Surveys
Toggle the Enable Post-Training Surveys option to on.
Configure Trigger
Choose when surveys are sent:
- After course completion - For e-learning
- After session attendance - For instructor-led training
- Both - All training types
Set Timing
When should the survey be sent?
- Immediately - Right after completion/attendance
- Delayed - After X hours/days
Configure Questions
Select or customise survey questions. Common types:
| Question Type | Example |
|---|---|
| Rating (1-5) | How would you rate this training overall? |
| NPS (0-10) | How likely are you to recommend this training? |
| Multiple Choice | Was the content relevant to your role? |
| Open Text | What could we improve? |
Save Settings
Click Save to apply your survey configuration.
Standard Survey Questions
The default survey includes these questions:
1. Overall Rating
"How would you rate this training overall?" (1-5 stars)
2. Content Quality
"The content was relevant and useful." (Strongly disagree to Strongly agree)
3. Delivery (for sessions)
"The trainer was knowledgeable and engaging." (Strongly disagree to Strongly agree)
4. Recommendation
"I would recommend this training to colleagues." (Yes/No/Maybe)
5. Open Feedback
"Any additional comments or suggestions?" (Free text)
Viewing Survey Results
Accessing Results
- Go to Admin → Reports
- Select Survey Results
- Filter by course, date range, or trainer
Available Metrics
- Average ratings per course
- Response rates
- NPS scores (if configured)
- Trainer comparison (for sessions)
- Trends over time
Exporting Data
- Export as CSV or Excel
- Include in compliance reports
- Share with stakeholders
Best Practices
Keep Surveys Short
- 3-5 questions is ideal
- Long surveys have lower completion rates
- Focus on key metrics
Act on Feedback
- Review results regularly
- Make improvements based on feedback
- Close the loop with learners when possible
Timing Matters
- Immediate surveys capture fresh impressions
- Delayed surveys may get more thoughtful responses
- Test what works for your organisation
