Learners
Learner journey for opening, completing, and submitting pre-meeting input
Where learners work
Your Performance Review work lives in two places — use whichever you see first:
| Location | What you do there |
|---|---|
| Training dashboard → Assigned Tasks | Performance Review action required tile with Start Performance Review |
| Profile → Performance tab | Upcoming review card, Open pre-meeting form, and completed history |
| Performance review page | Full pre-meeting form (/team-management/performance-review?reviewId=…) |
Performance tab visibility
The Performance tab appears on Profile only when your organisation has the Performance module enabled.
When a review is assigned
Your organisation's HR team sets review frequency (monthly, quarterly, or annual). When a scheduled review is created for you, status starts as scheduled or moves to in_progress once you open the form.
The Profile → Performance card shows whether action is needed, your manager's name when set, and the next cadence date when no open review exists.
Learner workflow
Open Profile → Performance
Go to Profile and select the Performance tab. The upcoming review card shows whether you need to complete pre-meeting input.
Open pre-meeting form
Click Open pre-meeting form (or Start Performance Review from the dashboard). This opens the review page with learner sections editable while status is scheduled, in_progress, or reopened.
Complete pre-meeting responses
Typical fields include:
- What went well since your last Performance Review
- Blockers affecting your progress
- Support needed from your manager
- Self-assessment scales (confidence, momentum, workload) where configured
Save draft or submit
Save progress if you need to finish later, or Submit pre-meeting when ready. After submit, status becomes submitted and your manager is notified via their dashboard queue to schedule or hold the review meeting.
Attend the review and read outcomes
Join the Performance Review conversation with your manager. After they lock the review, view shared outcomes and history from Profile → Performance → History → Open full Performance Review.
Statuses from a learner perspective
| Status | What it means for you |
|---|---|
| scheduled / in_progress | Complete and submit pre-meeting when ready |
| submitted | Waiting for manager — prepare for the meeting; form may be read-only |
| locked | Review complete — read outcomes in history |
| reopened | Manager reopened for updates — you may need to revisit sections |
If you cannot finish before the meeting
Life happens — if pre-meeting is not submitted before the calendar slot, your manager can walk through the questions with you live and submit on your behalf. You still participate in the conversation; the audit trail records that the manager entered the pre-meeting data.
Tip
Line manager and scheduling
Reviews route to your line manager on your user record. The Performance tab shows their name when assigned. If it says manager not set, ask HR to assign a manager so your review can proceed.
Your manager may set a provisional Performance Review time in Team Management — check with them for the final calendar invite.
After the review is locked
Locked reviews appear under History on Profile → Performance with a completed badge. Open the full review to read shared notes, manager summary (where shared), and agreed objectives or training recommendations.
Corrections after lock
If something is wrong after lock, ask your manager to reopen the review with a reason — you cannot unlock it yourself.
FAQ
I do not see a Performance tab on Profile.
Your tenant may not have Performance Management enabled, or you have no reviews assigned yet. Check with HR or your manager.
The Open pre-meeting form button is disabled.
You may have no open review in an actionable status (e.g. only locked history exists), or your review is already submitted and awaiting the manager meeting.
Can I edit pre-meeting after submitting?
Depends on status — once submitted, learner fields may lock until the manager reopens or completes the review. Contact your manager if you need to change submitted content.
How often will I get reviews?
Follows your organisation cadence (monthly, quarterly, or annual) and any department override. The Performance tab shows the next expected cadence date when no open review is active.
Is pre-meeting the same as the full review?
Pre-meeting is your input before the conversation. Manager outcomes and lock happen after the meeting on the same review record — you will see final results only after lock.
