Make changes, update content, and refine your course

Overview

Editing is an ongoing process as you:

  • Add and refine content
  • Fix mistakes and typos
  • Update outdated information
  • Improve based on feedback

The Course Builder makes editing straightforward with autosave and intuitive controls.

Editing Text Content

Modifying Text Blocks

  1. Navigate to the page with the text
  2. Click on the text block to select it
  3. In the Inspector, edit the content
  4. Changes appear immediately
  5. Content saves automatically

Inline Editing

Some text blocks support inline editing:

  1. Double-click the text block
  2. Cursor appears in the text
  3. Type to edit directly
  4. Click away to save

Text Formatting

Editing Images

Replacing an Image

  1. Select the image block
  2. In Inspector, click Replace Image
  3. Upload new image file
  4. New image replaces old

Adjusting Image Display

Tip

Always update the alt text when replacing an image to maintain accessibility.

Editing Video Blocks

Changing Video URL

  1. Select the video block
  2. In Inspector, update the URL field
  3. New video loads in preview
  4. Test to ensure it works

Editing Quiz Questions

Changing Question Text

  1. Navigate to the quiz page
  2. Select the quiz block
  3. In Inspector, edit question text
  4. Changes apply immediately

Modifying Answer Options

To edit an option:

Find the option in Inspector → Change the text → Verify correct answer marking

To add an option:

Click Add Option → Enter new answer text → Mark if correct

To remove an option:

Click delete icon next to option → Confirm removal

Editing Page Properties

Changing Page Titles

  1. Select the page in page list
  2. With no block selected, Inspector shows page settings
  3. Edit the title field
  4. New title appears in page list

Changing Page Order

  1. In page list, drag the page
  2. Drop at new position
  3. Order updates immediately
  4. Navigation adjusts automatically

Accessing Settings

  1. Click Settings in top bar
  2. Or click gear icon
  3. Project settings panel opens

Autosave

How Autosave Works

  • System checks for changes every 60 seconds
  • If changes exist, saves automatically
  • Shows "Saved" indicator when complete
  • Last saved time displayed

Save Indicator Status

Tip

Manually save (Ctrl/Cmd + S) before exporting, before closing, or after important changes.

Undo and Redo

Undo

Reverse your last action

Click Undo or press Ctrl/Cmd + Z

Redo

Restore what you undid

Click Redo or press Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + Z

Limitations

  • Undo works within current session
  • May not undo after saving
  • Large changes may not fully undo
  • Manual save creates new checkpoint

Common Editing Tasks

Fixing Typos

Navigate to page → Select text block → Find and correct typo → Changes save automatically

Updating Outdated Information

Identify outdated content → Navigate to relevant page → Update text/images → Check related content for consistency → Preview to verify

Improving Quiz Questions

Review question clarity → Check answer options are distinct → Verify feedback is helpful → Test in preview mode

Changing Course Flow

Review page order → Drag pages to new positions → Update button actions if needed → Test navigation in preview

Troubleshooting

Changes not appearing

Ensure you're on correct page, check the right block is selected, try refreshing.

Can't edit content

Check if project is locked by another user, verify edit permissions, check if in preview mode.

Undo not working

Undo may be limited, try refreshing (changes should be saved), check save status first.

Saving fails

Check internet connection, look for error messages, try manual save, refresh and retry.
