Previewing lets you:

  • See how your course looks to learners
  • Test navigation between pages
  • Verify quiz functionality
  • Check media plays correctly
  • Catch issues before publishing

Always preview before exporting! This is your last chance to catch issues.

Starting Preview Mode

How to Preview

  1. Save your current changes (or let autosave complete)
  2. Click the Preview button in the top bar
  3. Preview opens in a new tab/window
  4. Course displays as learners will see it

Tip

Preview typically opens in a new browser tab, starting at the Welcome page with full course functionality.

Testing Correct Answers

  1. Navigate to first quiz question
  2. Select the correct answer
  3. Submit
  4. Verify: Feedback shows "Correct", explanation displays, continue button works

Testing Incorrect Answers

  1. Navigate to a quiz question
  2. Select a wrong answer
  3. Submit
  4. Verify: Feedback shows "Incorrect", correct answer revealed, explanation displays

Testing Pass Scenario

  1. Answer enough questions correctly to pass
  2. Complete the quiz
  3. On results page, verify: Score shows correctly, "Pass" message displays

Testing Fail Scenario

  1. Answer questions to fall below pass threshold
  2. Complete the quiz
  3. On results page, verify: Score shows correctly, "Fail" message displays

Testing Media

Troubleshooting

Preview won't open

Check popup blocker, try different browser, check for JavaScript errors, clear browser cache.

Preview looks wrong

Check browser zoom level, verify content saved before preview, try hard refresh (Ctrl+F5).

Quiz not working in preview

Verify quiz blocks configured, check correct answers marked, look for JavaScript errors.

Video won't play in preview

Check video URL is valid, verify video is public, try different video source.
