Learning Pathways
Structured journeys, including qualification pathways with manager sign-off
Learning Pathways group courses, sessions, and self-assessments into a structured journey — useful for onboarding, role curricula, or multi-step compliance tracks. You can also make a pathway a qualification so completion includes manager sign-off and a competence credential. Create the individual courses first in Course Management (or Course Builder), then assemble the pathway and assign it.

Choose the right method
- Pathways vs assigning courses
When a structured programme is better than assigning courses individually.
- Qualification pathways
When you need manager sign-off and a competence credential after the journey.
Set it up
- Create the courses first
Pathways need existing course records.
- Assign training to people
Ensure pathway courses reach the right audience.
- Learner view
How learners find and complete assigned learning.
Key concepts
- Pathways organise existing courses, sessions, and self-assessments — they do not replace course creation.
- Assignment still controls who must complete pathway content.
- Qualification pathways add manager sign-off and a competence credential; they are not the same as course PDF certificates.
- Do not use a pathway merely to bundle unrelated mandatory courses.
