Branding
Company name, logo, and favicon shown in the app and emails
Overview
The Branding tab lets you replace TrainMeUK defaults with your organisation's identity. Whitelabelling is opt-in — if you leave a field blank, the TrainMeUK default is used.
You can configure:
- Company Name — shown in the sidebar, mobile header, and email subject lines / headers
- Logo — shown in the sidebar, mobile header, and branded emails
- Favicon — the small icon in the browser tab when users access the LMS
Who can access this tab?
Branding requires the canManageSystemSettings permission. Changes apply to all users in your organisation once saved.
Where branding appears
| Asset | In the app | In emails |
|---|---|---|
| Company Name | Sidebar and mobile header | Subject lines and email headers |
| Logo | Sidebar and mobile header | Header area of notification emails |
| Favicon | Browser tab icon | Not used in emails |
The page includes a Sidebar preview so you can check how your logo and company name look against the dark navigation bar. An email preview carousel shows how common notification templates render with your branding.
Step-by-step
Open the Branding tab
- Log in as an admin with system settings access
- Go to Admin → System Settings
- Select the Branding tab (paint brush icon)
Set your Company Name
Enter your organisation name in the Company Name field. This replaces "TrainMeUK" in the sidebar, mobile header, and email subject lines / headers.
Upload your Logo
Click Click to upload in the Logo section (or drag and drop). Accepted formats: PNG, JPG, or SVG up to 2MB. Square images work best. A preview appears below the upload area.
Upload your Favicon
Upload an ICO, PNG, or JPG file up to 2MB in the Favicon section. This updates the icon shown in users' browser tabs.
Save Settings
Click Save Settings. Branding updates across the app immediately after a successful save. Check the sidebar preview and email preview carousel to confirm the result.
Tip
Reset to Defaults
Click Reset to Defaults to clear your company name, logo, and favicon and restore TrainMeUK branding. You can also clear individual assets by saving with empty values.
Resetting does not affect training content, user accounts, or notification settings — only visual branding.
Troubleshooting
Logo looks stretched or blurry
Upload a higher-resolution square PNG or SVG. Avoid very wide logos — the sidebar displays a compact icon-sized area.
Favicon did not update in my browser
Browsers cache favicons aggressively. Hard-refresh the page or clear the browser cache, then reload the LMS.
Emails still show old branding
Confirm you clicked Save Settings. New emails sent after the save use updated branding; emails already delivered cannot be changed.
